Terms of Use
Last updated 11 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the FISC 2026 delegate portal, operated by FreeBalance Inc. for delegates of the FreeBalance International Steering Committee. By signing in and using the portal, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
Who can use the portal
The delegate area is invitation-only. Your account is personal to you and shouldn’t be shared. Keep your password confidential, and tell the secretariat promptly if you think someone else has used your account.
Using the portal
When you use the portal, you agree to:
- use it for FISC and your own professional purposes;
- keep your profile information accurate; and
- treat other delegates and the secretariat with respect.
You agree not to:
- share your sign-in details or let anyone else use your account;
- copy, scrape or harvest the attendees directory, or use delegates’ details for marketing or solicitation;
- try to access materials, accounts or areas you’re not authorised to use; or
- disrupt, overload or interfere with the portal or its security.
Delegate materials
Briefings, presentations, recordings and other materials in the portal are provided for delegates’ own use in connection with FISC. They remain the property of FreeBalance or their respective owners. Please don’t republish or redistribute them without permission.
The attendees directory
The directory helps delegates recognise and connect with their peers during the event. Use the details you find there only for professional, event-related contact — not for bulk messaging, marketing, or any unlawful purpose.
Photography and recording
Sessions and social events may be photographed and recorded, as described in our Privacy Policy. A separate consent step covers this; by attending, you may appear in event imagery unless you’ve asked to be excluded.
Conduct
We want FISC to be respectful and productive for everyone. The secretariat may suspend or remove access for conduct that is unlawful or abusive, or that puts the portal or other delegates at risk.
Availability
We work to keep the portal available throughout the event, but we provide it “as is” and can’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may add, change or remove features.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, FreeBalance is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the portal, or for content provided by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the portal means you accept it.
